    2. I agree with Cynthia, I enjoy the mix of content; faith, parenting, end of life issues, whatever God lays on your heart.

I love all your postings! As a prior homeschooling mom, I would love to continue to read about the resources you use so I can implement some with my young grand babies.
I just bought your new book and I’m anxious to read it.

Hi Katie! I have really enjoyed your postings as well as your recent book release. I am a home schooling mom of 3, two of which are grown and well into adulthood, with the third a teen in high school. When I was a younger mom navigating life with a little one who is on the spectrum in some way (she was born in 1994 – and even though I was educated and graduated with a degree in special education, nothing was out there about spectrum disorders), I found it extremely difficult, which of course I completely absorbed all guilt for anything crazy in our “happy home” life. It was utterly devastating. I would enjoy reading how you counsel moms through those feeling of guilt and the pains of not being able to fulfill what she thought was the best for a child with a disorder that falls within the umbrella of autism/sensory disorder/personality disorder.

Mandy, thank you so much for reaching out. I can only imagine how hard it was, supporting her through her differences without a framework to understand it or resources to help. Have you read Shawna Winegert’s blog, Not the Former Things? She writes a lot about the guilt and the struggles as a mom of special needs kids. She didn’t figure out her son’s autism until he was quite a bit older. Her posts will likely resonate with you. As for my end, I’ll gladly continue to write and reflect, but as I’m in the thick of it right now (and daily making mistakes) I’m not sure if my perspective will be as helpful! Blessings to you.
